IIM Mumbai has opened applications for its Post Graduate Diploma for Executive Leadership in Manufacturing, a program designed to help mid-career professionals strengthen their managerial skills and link daily operations with long-term business goals. The aim is to prepare professionals for faster and sustainable growth in the manufacturing sector.
The program is led by Prof. Ravindra Gokhale and will be held offline on the IIM Mumbai campus, spread across five contact days. It is meant for candidates from any background who have 4 to 10 years of work experience, especially those looking to improve their leadership and cross-functional decision-making abilities.
There are only 35 seats, and the last date to apply is 29 November 2025. The new batch is scheduled to begin in mid-April 2026, and the program fee is INR 1632000.
The teaching approach focuses on real and practical learning. It includes interactive lectures, case studies, group activities, role plays and management games, helping participants understand real workplace situations, improve problem-solving skills and apply concepts actively.

Speaking about the program, Manoj Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai, said that today’s businesses need leaders who can think broadly and handle complex challenges. He added that this programme aims to develop mid-level managers into forward-thinking leaders capable of driving transformation in their organisations. He also highlighted the institute’s commitment to excellence and impactful learning.
Recently, IIM Mumbai also introduced a new Blended Post Graduate Programme in Management (MBA–BPGP) for working professionals. This two-year program allows learners to upgrade their management and leadership skills without taking a career break. It uses a blended format that combines academic learning with practical application, giving professionals the flexibility to study while continuing their jobs.
