The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on 5 January 2026 announced the results of the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025. The results were declared by BSEB Chairman Anand Kishor. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results on the official website, @bsebstet.org, by logging in with their user ID and password.
According to the board, a total of 442214 candidates appeared for the STET 2025 examination. Of these, 246415 candidates took Paper 1, which is meant for eligibility to teach Classes 9 and 10. This included 107229 female and 139186 male candidates. Paper 2, conducted for eligibility to teach Classes 11 and 12, saw 195799 candidates, including 71178 female and 124621 male candidates.
The exam was held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from 14 October to 16 November 2025. Out of all candidates who appeared, 256301 candidates qualified, taking the overall pass percentage to 57.96 per cent. Among the qualified candidates, 104167 were women and 152134 were men.
In Paper 1, the examination was conducted for 16 subjects. A total of 154145 candidates qualified out of 246415, recording a pass percentage of 62.56 per cent. For Paper 2, which covered 29 subjects, 102156 candidates qualified out of 195799, with a pass percentage of 52.17 per cent.
The board has fixed different minimum qualifying marks for various categories. Candidates from the General category were required to score 50 per cent. The cut-off was 45.5 per cent for Backward Classes, 42.5 per cent for Extremely Backward Classes and 40 per cent for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, women, and Persons with Disabilities.
Candidates who have qualified in Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be issued STET eligibility certificates by the board. The exam consisted of 150 multiple-choice questions, carrying 150 marks in total. Each correct answer was awarded one mark, and there was no negative marking. The question paper included 100 marks for subject knowledge and 50 marks for teaching aptitude and related skills.
The STET 2025 examination was conducted at 23 centres across nine districts of Bihar, including Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Munger, Saharsa, Bhojpur, and Purnea. The exam was held in two shifts each day.

- Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link for STET 2025 Result / Scorecard.
- Step 3: You will be redirected to the login page.
- Step 4: Enter your User ID and Password in the given fields.
- Step 5: Click on the Login or Submit button.
- Step 6: Your STET 2025 scorecard will appear on the screen.
- Step 7: Download the scorecard and take a printout for future reference.
What is after the STET 2025 Qualification?
Candidates who have cleared the Bihar STET 2025 will be eligible to apply for teacher recruitment in government secondary and senior secondary schools in the state. The STET certificate is a mandatory requirement for teaching posts for Classes 9 to 12.
The eligibility certificate issued by BSEB remains valid for the upcoming recruitment drives. However, qualifying STET does not guarantee a job, as final selection depends on recruitment notifications, merit lists and document verification.
