AIBE 20 result 2025

The bar council of India (BCI) has officially declared the results of the All-India Bar Examination (AIBE) XX, bringing relief and clarity to lakhs of law graduates across the country. According to a report by Bar and Bench, the AIBE 20 results 2025 has been announced, and the scorecards are expected to be released later today, 7th January 2026, on the official website @allindiabarexamination.com.

This year, a total of 2,52,968 candidates appeared for the AIBE XX examination, out of which 1,74,386 candidates have successfully qualified. The examination plays a crucial role for law graduates as it determines their eligibility to receive the certificate of practice (CoP), which is mandatory to practice law in India.

AIBE 20 Exam Conduct and Evaluation Process

All India Bar Examination XX was conducted on 30th November 2025 across 399 examination centers nationwide. The exam was held in offline mode and tested candidates on various subjects related to law and professional ethics. As in previous years, the examination was conducted to assess the basic legal knowledge and analytical ability of newly enrolled advocates.

Following the conduct of the examination, the Bar Council of India released the provisional answer key and invited objections from candidates. These objections were carefully reviewed by a specially constituted monitoring committee. Based on the committee’s assessment, significant changes were made to ensure fairness and transparency in the evaluation process.

Questions Dropped and Revised Marketing Scheme

Earlier on Tuesday, BCI uploaded the final answer key for AIBE 20. As per the final key, a total of 20 questions have dropped from the examination. Out of the original 100 questions, five questions were withdrawn completely after objections were found to be valid. For two questions, the committee observed that more than one option was correct. In such cases, the BCI decided to award full marks to candidates who selected any of the correct options. Due to these revisions, the final evaluation of the AIBE 20 result has been carried out for 95 marks instead of 100.

The Bar Council of India has also clarified the qualifying criteria for different categories. As per the official norms:
