TOSS 2026 Exam Dates: Telangana Open School announces SSC

TOSS Exam Date 2026

The Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), functioning under the School Education Department of the Telangana Government, has officially announced the exam schedule for the SSC (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) Public Examinations for the April and May 2026 session. Students enrolled in open schooling across the state can now prepare according to the detailed timetable released by the board.

According to the notification, the theory examinations for both Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Intermediate courses will be conducted from 20th April to 27th April 2026. The exams will be held in two sessions each day. The morning session will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, while the afternoon session will be conducted from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Students are advised to reach their examination centres well before the reporting time to avoid any last-minute issues.

On the first day, 20th April SSC candidates will appear for language papers in the forenoon session. These include Telugu, Tamil, Oriya, Marathi and Kannada. In the afternoon session, SSC students will write the Psychology examination. On the same day, Intermediate students will appear for Telugu, Urdu, Hindi and Arabic language papers in the morning session.

On 21st April SSC students will write the English paper in the morning session, followed by Indian Culture and Heritage  in the afternoon. Intermediate students will take the English examination in the morning and Sociology in the afternoon.

The examinations for other main academic subjects will continue on the following days. Between 24th April and 25th April SSC students will appear for Mathematics and Business Studies. During the same period, Intermediate students will write exams for Political Science, Chemistry, and other core subjects.

Important subjects such as Science and Technology and Social Studies for SSC are also included in the timetable. For Intermediate students, subjects like Physics, Commerce & Business Studies, History, Geography, and Mathematics will be conducted as per the schedule spread across these dates.

On 26th April SSC candidates will appear for Economics and Home Science. Intermediate students will take examinations in Economics, Mass Communication, Biology, Accountancy, and Home Science on the same day.

The final day of theory examinations on 27th April  (Monday), has been reserved for vocational subjects for both SSC and Intermediate streams. SSC vocational theory examinations will be conducted from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Practical Skill Training Test (PSTT) until 12:00 noon. Vocational practical examinations will be held in the afternoon session. Intermediate vocational theory examinations will also take place on 27th April.

After the completion of theory exams, Intermediate practical examinations will begin from 28th April  and continue until 5th May 2026. Students appearing for practical subjects are advised to check their respective study centres for detailed instructions and batch timings.

The Telangana Open School Society conducts these examinations to provide flexible learning opportunities to students who could not complete their regular schooling. With the dates now announced, candidates are encouraged to plan their revision properly and follow the guidelines issued by TOSS to ensure a smooth examination process.
