Admissions Under NEP 2020 Framework

This year, admissions will also begin under the Multiple Entry Mode for Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes (FYUP), following the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This system allows students more flexibility, including multiple entry and exit options during their course.
Applications for FYUP vacant seats will remain open until 10th April 2026.

Entrance Test Dates and Application Deadlines

Online applications for programmes that require entrance tests are open until 25th March 2026. For courses based on national-level exams, such as:
  • JEE Mains
  • NATA
  • NEET (for BPT)
  • NCET
  • CUET
Applications will remain open for 10 days after the declaration of the respective results.

More Entrance Test Centres Added

To make the admission process more accessible, JMI has increased its entrance test centres from eight to eleven cities. New centres have been added in Jaipur, Dehradun, and Kishanganj. The existing centres include Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Patna, Kolkata, Srinagar, Calicut, and Bhopal.

Fee Concession for Foreign Students

JMI has also revised its fee structure for international students. The university has introduced region-wise fee categories for students from SAARC countries, West Asia, Africa, and Latin America. This move aims to attract more international applicants.
With new courses, no fee hike, expanded test centres, and flexible admission options, Jamia Millia Islamia has taken significant steps to make higher education more accessible and diverse for students in the 2026-27 academic session.
