The National Testing Agency has reopened the application window for Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2026, providing aspirants with another opportunity to register for the undergraduate entrance examination. Candidates interested in appearing for the exam can submit their applications through the official website cuet.nta.nic.in. The extended registration facility will remain available until 26 February 2026.
Officials have clarified that this is a special extension, and applicants are advised to complete the form with utmost accuracy. Once the application is submitted, no correction window will be provided and requests for changes will not be entertained.
The CUET UG 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted between 11 and 31 May 2026. The test will be held for 37 subjects, offering candidates a wide range of choices across disciplines. As per the guidelines, students may opt for up to five subjects, including language papers and the General Aptitude Test, irrespective of the subjects studied in Class 12.
Each question paper will consist of 50 compulsory questions. Candidates will be awarded five marks for every correct response, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer, in line with the prescribed marking scheme.

CUET UG 2026: Application Fee
The application fee for CUET UG 2026 has been structured according to category and number of subjects selected. For candidates belonging to the General category, the fee is INR 1000 for up to three subjects, while an additional INR 400 per subject will be charged beyond this limit.
Applicants from the OBC (NCL) and EWS categories are required to pay INR 900 for three subjects, with an extra INR 375 for each additional subject. Meanwhile, candidates belonging to the SC, ST, PwD, PwBD, and Third Gender categories will have to pay INR 800 for up to three subjects and INR 350 for every extra subject selected.
CUET UG 2026: Participating Universities
In the CUET UG 2026 admissions process, a large number of universities across India are set to accept scores for undergraduate admissions. Around 47 central universities, about 36 state universities, 25-30 deemed universities, and over 120 private universities have been listed as participating institutions for CUET UG 2026, making up well over 200 universities where students can seek admission based on their CUET scores.
These universities include major names such as Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), University of Delhi (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and many others, giving CUET qualifiers a wide range of options.
CUET UG 2026: Admit Card & Exam City Slip
The CUET UG 2026 admit cards and exam city slips are expected to be released in the first week of May 2026. Candidates can download their admit cards online by visiting the official website cuet.nta.nic.in and logging in with their application number and password.
The admit card will contain essential details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam centre, date and timing of the exam and instructions to be followed on the day of the test. Students are advised to print a hard copy and carry it to the examination centre along with a valid photo ID.
