FPSB India Partners with IIM Ranchi for Executive Finance Program

FPSB India, the Indian arm of the Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd., USA, has partnered with the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi to introduce a new Executive Program in Advanced Financial Planning & Digital Finance featuring a CFP Fast Track Pathway. The program is aimed at working professionals who wish to pursue the globally recognised CFP (Certified Financial Planner) certification while developing advanced expertise in personal finance and digital financial systems.

Structured in a hybrid learning format, the program blends the global CFP curriculum with IIM Ranchi’s academic focus on financial analytics, artificial intelligence, sustainable finance and digital transformation. Participants will receive training in areas such as AI-driven wealth planning, behavioural finance, alternative investments, ESG and sustainable finance frameworks, global regulatory practices, digital finance strategy and portfolio engineering, helping them build specialised capabilities for the evolving financial advisory sector.

Commenting on the initiative, Chandrakant Sureka, Interim CEO of FPSB India, said the collaboration aims to strengthen India’s financial planning ecosystem by combining international CFP standards with emerging digital finance skills. He noted that the programme is designed to equip professionals with future-ready competencies that integrate ethics, technology and client-focused advisory practices.

Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director of IIM Ranchi, stated that the partnership reflects the institute’s commitment to connecting academic excellence with professional standards. According to him, the program will prepare finance professionals to lead the next phase of innovation in wealth management and financial advisory, supported by advanced analytics, AI and globally recognised certification pathways.

Eligibility 

Candidates who have completed either an undergraduate or postgraduate degree under the 10+2+3 academic structure or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution are eligible to apply for the program.

The course will offer comprehensive exposure to key areas such as financial analytics, AI-enabled wealth planning, behavioural finance, alternative investments, sustainable finance and ESG frameworks, global regulations and compliance, digital finance strategy, and portfolio engineering. The program will be led by Manish Bansal and Raveesh Krishnankutty, who will serve as the program heads. According to the institute, the curriculum has been designed to build strong technical knowledge, ethical understanding and practical skills, enabling participants to progress effectively towards the CFP certification pathway.

Fee Structure 

The Executive Program in Advanced Financial Planning & Digital Finance at Indian Institute of Management Ranchi will require participants to pay a total program fee of INR 500000 plus GST, which will be collected in two instalments. The first instalment of INR 300000 plus GST is payable at the beginning of the program, while the second instalment of INR 200000 plus GST will be paid later during the course.

According to the institute, the programme fee includes learning resources, digital platform access, and campus immersion components, allowing participants to benefit from both online academic sessions and on-campus experiential learning opportunities.
