The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has commenced the evaluation process for Class 10 and Class 12 answer sheets, initiating the next key stage in the declaration of UP Board Result 2026. Going by this timeline the UP Board Class 10 and 12 results are likely to be declared in the second or third week of April, with 20 April emerging as a expected date. However, no official confirmation regarding the result date has been issued by the board so far.
In a significant reform, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has introduced a step-marking system for the evaluation of Class 10 and 12 answer sheets, aligning its assessment pattern with that of the Central Board of Secondary Education. Under this approach, students will receive partial marks for correctly written steps, formulas or calculations, even if the final answer is incorrect. The move is aimed at ensuring a fairer evaluation process and is expected to help reduce failure rates.
To further strengthen transparency the board has implemented an online marks uploading system. This digital process is intended to minimise manual errors and eliminate any scope for discrepancies or manipulation during the evaluation stage.
Meanwhile, the board has issued strict guidelines to curb unfair practices. Students found inserting cash or any other material inside answer sheets to influence examiners will face serious consequences, including cancellation of their examination. On the other hand, candidates have been given some relief in OMR-based sections, where roll numbers and subject details are now pre-printed reducing the risk of errors that previously led to result-related issues.
