The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has officially declared the results of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2026 on 19 March 2026. Candidates who appeared for the national-level engineering entrance test can now access their results through the official portals GATE 2026 Official Portal and GOAPS Portal.
As per the schedule, the GATE 2026 scorecards will be available for download free of cost from 27 March to 31 May 2026. Applicants will need to log in using their enrolment ID or registered email ID along with their password to view and download their results. The scorecard will include key details such as marks obtained, All India Rank (AIR), qualifying status and the overall GATE score. Alongside the results, IIT Guwahati is also expected to release the list of subject-wise toppers who have secured AIR 1.
The GATE 2026 examination was conducted on 7, 8, 14 and 15 February in a computer-based format at multiple centres across the country. Each day featured two shifts a morning session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and an afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm covering a wide range of engineering and science disciplines.
GATE scores play a crucial role not only in admissions to postgraduate programs such as MTech and ME at premier institutes but also in recruitment. Several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) consider GATE scores for hiring candidates into technical and engineering roles, using them as a primary screening criterion for further selection stages.

GATE 2026 Cut-off Marks
The cut-off marks for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2026 have been released along with the results by the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. These cut-offs indicate the minimum marks required for candidates to qualify in their respective papers.
Officials noted that the qualifying marks vary across branches based on factors such as exam difficulty, number of test-takers and overall performance. Highly competitive streams like Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering generally see higher cut-offs compared to other disciplines.
Candidates securing marks equal to or above the cut-off will be considered GATE-qualified and can apply for postgraduate admissions and PSU recruitment. Detailed, paper-wise cut-offs are expected to be made available on the official portal for further reference.
