The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has announced a re-examination for the Class 12 Hindi paper after multiple reports of a question paper leak during the 2026 board exams, raising concerns over the integrity of the examination process.
According to an official notification, the Higher Secondary Certificate (Class 12) Hindi examination (code 010/810), which was originally conducted on 14 March 2026, has been cancelled and declared “null and void.” The decision comes after allegations surfaced suggesting that the question paper had been circulated prior to the exam.
The controversy emerged on 15 and 16 March, when claims began circulating widely on social media platforms regarding the alleged leak. Taking cognizance of the issue the board convened an examination committee meeting on 23 March 2026. After a detailed review of the available evidence the committee concluded that the fairness and credibility of the examination had been compromised prompting the recommendation to cancel the paper and conduct a fresh examination.

Expected Result Timeline
The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has not yet announced an official result date after cancelling the Class 12 Hindi exam. However, the re-examination is expected to slightly affect the overall result timeline. Since the re-exam is scheduled for 10 April 2026 the evaluation process will begin only after that which may cause a small delay in result declaration.
Usually, CGBSE releases Class 12 results in May so students can now expect the results to be announced by late May or early June 2026 on an expected basis. Students are advised to rely only on official updates from the board and avoid believing any unofficial information regarding result dates.
