The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has started the admission process for the 2026 academic session for its University School of Liberal Arts, inviting applications for the four-year BA Liberal Arts (Hons.) program. The course is structured in accordance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, offering a flexible and multidisciplinary approach to learning.
As per the university, the programme allows students to explore multiple disciplines within social sciences while also gaining exposure to skill-based subjects and research. It includes provisions for multiple entry and exit options enabling students to customise their academic journey based on their goals.
Admissions will be conducted through both the university’s Common Entrance Test (CET) and the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG), giving candidates more than one pathway to secure a seat. Meanwhile, GGSIPU has also introduced a new Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) program to meet the increasing demand for management education among students.
The university has set 31 March 2026, as the last date for registration for the Liberal Arts program. Interested candidates are advised to complete the application process within the given timeline and keep track of official updates for further admission-related information.
Courses and specialisations offered
The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has introduced a multidisciplinary structure under its BA Liberal Arts (Hons.) programme, allowing students to choose majors in subjects such as Psychology, Political Science, History and Sociology. The curriculum is designed to provide a strong foundation in social sciences while enhancing students’ analytical thinking, research capabilities and communication skills.
GGSIPU introduces BMS program
In a recent development, the university has also announced the launch of a new Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) programme from the 2026-27 academic session. The course will be offered at the affiliated Indian Institute of Packaging in Patparganj. The four-year programme will have an intake of 60 seats and admissions will be based on performance in the university’s CET followed by CUET-UG scores.
To be eligible, candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks and must have studied English as a subject. University officials stated that the programme has been introduced in response to growing industry demand and increasing student interest in management education.

Admissions to both programs will be conducted through the GGSIPU Common Entrance Test (CET) as well as the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG). Internship opportunities and industry exposure
Emphasising practical learning the university highlighted that students have recently secured internships with several reputed organisations, including the Tech Mahindra Foundation, Udayan Care, International Association of Women in Radio and Television, Public Service Broadcasting Trust, Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, Indian Culinary Agenda and Ayudham Society. These collaborations are aimed at providing hands-on industry exposure and strengthening practical skills alongside academic learning.
