The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the Class 1 admission lottery results for the 2026-27 academic session on 9 April 2026. Parents who registered their children can now check the selection status by visiting the official admission portal admission.kvs.gov.in.
However, the selection list for regions such as Assam, Kerala and Puducherry will be published on 10 April 2026, as the process has been deferred due to ongoing elections in these areas.
Following the announcement of the results, shortlisted candidates are required to complete the admission process within the given timeline. This includes payment of the admission fee and verification of necessary documents at the respective Kendriya Vidyalaya. Parents are advised to complete all formalities promptly to secure their child’s seat.
In case seats remain unfilled after the first list, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will release subsequent admission lists for Class 1 on 16 and 21 April 2026. Admissions will follow a defined priority order, starting with Right to Education (RTE) candidates, followed by Service Priority Categories I and II and then other applicants based on availability.
While checking the KVS lottery result 2026, parents should understand that the status ‘Selected’ indicates the child has been shortlisted for admission, whereas ‘Waiting List’ means the seat is not yet confirmed. If selected candidates fail to complete admission formalities or withdraw, those seats will be allotted to students on the waiting list.
