CAT 2025 Final Answer Key Out

CAT 2025 Final Answer Key Out

The final answer key for the CAT Exam 2025 was released after IIM Kozhikode published the provisional answer keys and individual response sheets on 4 December. Along with the provisional keys, the institute opened an online objection window from 8 to 10 December 2025, giving candidates from all three exam sessions an opportunity to raise objections. Applicants were allowed to challenge specific questions by submitting proper explanations and supporting documents. All objections received during this period were carefully reviewed by subject experts before finalizing the answer key.

After the CAT 2025 results are declared, the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) will begin the shortlisting process for the next stages of admission. Shortlisting is done using CAT scores along with other eligibility factors. Each IIM follows its own admission policy, which may consider elements such as academic background, work experience, past academic records, gender diversity, academic diversity and overall CAT percentile.

Candidates who clear the shortlisting criteria are then invited to take part in the final selection rounds. These rounds generally include a Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and/or Personal Interview (PI). In recent admission cycles, many IIMs have replaced the Group Discussion round with WAT and Personal Interview, though the exact selection process may differ from one IIM to another.

Details Mentioned on CAT 2025 Scorecard

The CAT 2025 scorecard contains important information related to the candidate’s performance in the exam. It includes the section-wise scaled scores for Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension. The scorecard also shows the sectional percentile and the overall percentile, which are used by IIMs and other B-schools for shortlisting candidates.

In addition, the scorecard displays candidate details such as name, registration number, category, date of birth and exam session. These details help verify the candidate’s identity during the admission process. Candidates are advised to keep the scorecard safely, as it will be required at multiple stages of MBA admissions.

Reservation Policy for CAT 2025 Admissions at IIMs

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) follow a category-wise reservation policy as per the guidelines issued by the Government of India. Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD).

The reservation percentages generally include 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC-NCL, 10% for EWS, and 5% for PwD candidates, although the exact number of reserved seats may vary across IIMs and programs. These provisions ensure equal opportunities for candidates from diverse social and economic backgrounds while maintaining transparency in the admission process.

Candidates applying under reserved categories are required to submit valid documents as proof of their eligibility at the time of admission. IIMs strictly follow these norms to provide fair representation and inclusivity in management education across the country.
