The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) has started the online application process for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026 from 24 December. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official website @htet.eapplynow.com.
HTET is a mandatory qualifying exam for candidates who wish to work as teachers in government and government-aided schools in Haryana. The test is conducted for three levels—Primary Teacher (PRT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). The application window opened on 24 December 2025, at 5 PM and will remain open till 4 January 2026, up to midnight. The last date to pay the application fee is 5 January 2026.
Candidates will also get a short correction window from 4 to 5 January 2026, to make changes in their application forms. As per the tentative schedule, the HTET 2026 exam is likely to be held on 17 and 18 January 2026. Details regarding the release of the admit card will be announced by the board in due course.

Eligibility for HTET 2026 Registration
Candidates must ensure they meet the educational requirements before applying. Final-year students of the required courses may also apply, subject to fulfilling conditions mentioned in the official notification. All eligibility norms should be verified from the HTET 2026 information bulletin before submission of the application form.
- Candidates applying for HTET 2026 must meet the eligibility conditions set by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH). The eligibility varies according to the teaching level for which the candidate is applying.
- For Level-1 (PRT), applicants should have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) with the required percentage and must hold a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or an equivalent qualification recognised by the authorities.
- For Level-2 (TGT), candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject along with a B.Ed or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- For Level-3 (PGT), applicants are required to have a postgraduate degree in the concerned subject and a BEd qualification.
Application Fee for HTET 2026 Registration
Candidates applying for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026 are required to pay the application fee online while submitting the form. The fee amount depends on the category of the candidate and the number of levels applied for. Reserved category candidates from Haryana are given fee relaxation as per state rules.
