Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has officially released the full schedule for JEE Advanced 2026. This announcement is important for lakhs of engineering students across India who want to get admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
JEE Advanced is known as one of the toughest entrance exams in India as one of the toughest entrance exam in India. It is the only exam through which students can get admission into undergraduate engineering, science, and architecture courses offered by 23 IITs across the country.
JEE Advanced 2026 Registration and Eligibility
To appear for JEE Advanced, students must first clear JEE Mains 2026, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Only students who score among the top rank holders in JEE Main will be allowed to register for JEE Advanced.
As per the official schedule:
- Online registration for eligible Indian candidates will start on 23rd April 2026 at 10:00 AM.
- The last date to complete registration is 2nd May 2026.
- The last date to pay the application fee is 4th May 2026.
- For foreign nationals and OCI and PIO students, registration will begin from 6th April 2026.

JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Date and Timing
The JEE Advanced 2026 exam will be held on Sunday, 17th May 2026. The exam will have two compulsory papers, and both must be attempted on the same day.
- Paper 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
- Paper 2: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
The admit card will be available for download from the official website jeeadv.ac.in starting from 11th May 2026. Students can download the admit card till the exam day.
JEE Advanced 2026 Results and Answer Key Schedule
After the exam, the result process will move quickly so that admission can start on time.
- Candidates can check their response sheet on 21st May 2026.
- The provisional answer key will be released on 25th May 2026.
- Students will get a short time to raise objections, if any.
- After reviewing all objections, final answer keys and results will be declared on 1st June 2026 at 10:00 AM.
Architecture Course and Counselling
Students who want to take admission in BArch courses must appear for the Architecture course and the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT).
- AAT Registration starts on 1st June 2026
- The AAT exam will be held on 4th June 2026
- AAT results will be announced on 7th June 2026.
The centralized counselling process called JOSAA counselling is expected to begin from 2nd June 2026. During counselling, students can choose their preferred IITs and branches based on their All-India Rank (AIR).
