The National Testing Agency has officially released the final answer for the JEE Main 2026 session 1 today, on 16th February 2026. Before releasing it, subject experts carefully checked all the objections raised by students. Now that the final answer key is out, the session 1 result is expected to be announced by late evening. Students can download the final answer key from the official website @jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Important Updates
NTA has shared the answer key in two formats:
- Earlier format: this version shows a simple option number (1,2,3, or 4). It is arranged shift wise and date-wise. There are separate columns of Indian and international students.
- Final Detailed Format: This version shows a correct option ID with long number codes for each. It is arranged in order and is the final version used to calculate marks.
Changes in Marking
After checking the students objection NTA made some changes:
- Dropped Question (9 Questions): Nine questions have been removed from different shifts. Students who appeared in those shifts will get full 4 marks for each dropped question.
- Multiple Correct Answers: In paper 1 (January session), four question has more than one correct answer. Students who marked any one correct option will get 4 marks for that question.
