JEE Main 2026 Session 1: NTA issues final answer keys for paper 2 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer key for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Paper 2 on 23rd February 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now download the final answer key PDF from the official website. 

As per the official update, NTA has dropped three questions from the final answer key of Paper 2. The results of JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 will be prepared strictly on the basis of this final answer key. The agency is expected to announce the results shortly on the same website.

The Paper 2 examination was conducted on 29th January 2026. NTA had released the provisional answer key and allowed candidates to raise objections between 19th February and 20th February. After reviewing all the challenges submitted by students, subject experts finalized the answer key. The final version now reflects all valid corrections.

To check their results once declared, candidates will need to log in using their application number and password. It is important to keep these credentials ready. The marking scheme remains unchanged students will get four marks for every correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each wrong response. No marks will be awarded for unanswered questions.

NTA has also started the registration process for JEE Main 2026 Session 2. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website before 25th February. Students are advised not to wait until the last date to avoid technical issues.

The second session of JEE Main 2026 is scheduled to be held from 2nd April to 9th April 2026. The examination will be conducted in two shifts each day across multiple exam centres in India and abroad.

In addition, NTA has released an official notice regarding the correction window for Session 2 application forms. The notice was published on 21st February 2026 on @nta.ac.in. Candidates who have already submitted their application forms will get an opportunity to correct mistakes in their details.

According to the notice, the correction window will open on 27th February 2026 and remain active until 11:50 PM on 28th February 2026. Students must make all necessary changes within this time frame. The agency has clearly stated that no further corrections will be allowed after the deadline.

JEE Main is conducted every year by NTA for admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture courses. Through this examination, students can secure admission to top institutions such as National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).

Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates who qualify in JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026. JEE Advanced is the entrance test for admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates regarding results and further announcements.
