The Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination Council (UPJEE) has officially released the notification for the Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) 2026, a state-level entrance test conducted for admission to diploma-level polytechnic programs across Uttar Pradesh. According to the latest announcements, the JEECUP 2026 examination will be held from 15th May to 20th May 2026 in online mode.

Eligible candidates will be able to register for the JEECUP examination starting from 15th January 2026 through the official website. The last date to submit the application form is 30th April 2026. JEECUP is a crucial entrance examination for students seeking admission to polytechnic diploma courses in engineering, technology, pharmacy, management, and other professional streams offered by government and private institutes across the state.

The exam is conducted annually and serves as the primary gateway for candidates aspiring to pursue technical education after class 10th and 12th, depending on the chosen program group. As per the official schedule released by UPJEE, the JEECUP 2026 examination for groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, and K1 to K8 will be conducted between 15th May to 20th May 2026.

All the examinations will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode at designated exam centres across Uttar Pradesh. In comparison, the JEECUP 2025 examination was conducted slightly later, from 30th May to 28th May 2025.

JEECUP is designed to assess candidates’ knowledge and aptitude relevant to their chosen field of study. Group A is meant for engineering and technology diploma courses after class 10th, while the other group provides pharmacy, agriculture, fashion design, hotel management, and various lateral entry programs. The group-wise structure allows candidates from diverse academic backgrounds to seek admission into specialized diploma courses.

JEECUP 2026 Application Process

Candidates interested in appearing for the JEECUP 2026 examination must complete the online application process within the given timeline. The application process involves the following steps:

  • Step 1: Visit the official JEECUP website.
  • Step 2: Complete the registration process by entering basic details such as name, mobile number, and email ID.
  • Step 3: Fill in the detailed application form with personal, academic, and course-related information.
  • Step 4: Pay the prescribed application fee through online payment mode.
  • Step 5: Submit the UPJEE 2026 application form and download the confirmation page for future reference.

​The application fee for the JEECUP 2026 has been set category-wise. Candidates belonging to the general and other background classes (OBC) category are required to pay an application fee of INR 300, while candidates from the scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, and other reserved categories need to pay INR 200. The fee must be paid online, and applications without successful payments will not be considered.

Exam Pattern and Marketing Scheme

JEECUP 2026 examination will consist of one question paper for each group, containing 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The total duration of the examination will be 3 hours. As per the marking scheme, candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer, while one-fourth of a mark (0.25) will be deducted for every incorrect response, making accuracy an important factor in scoring well.
