KCET 2026: Karnataka UGCET Registration Starts on 17 January

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 application process is set to begin soon, with the online registration window scheduled to open on the official website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Candidates planning to apply are advised to keep all required documents ready before filling out the form to avoid last-minute issues.

For KCET 2026 registration, applicants will need their SSLC or Class 10 mark sheet, Aadhaar card, a valid mobile number linked with WhatsApp and an email ID. In addition, scanned copies of a recent photograph and signature must be uploaded in the prescribed format during the application process.

The application fee for KCET 2026 has been fixed at INR 500 for general category candidates, INR 250 for SC and ST candidates, INR 750 for applicants from outside Karnataka and INR 5000 for candidates from abroad.

As per the official schedule, the KCET 2026 examination will be conducted on 23 April and 24 April. The Physics and Chemistry papers will be held on 23 April 2026, while the Mathematics and Biology exams are scheduled for April 24. The examination will take place in 2 shifts: the morning session from 10:30 am to 11:50 am and the afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 3:50 pm. Each paper will be conducted for a duration of 1 hour and 20 minutes.

The Kannada Language Test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates will be conducted on 22 April, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced. The test will be held only at designated centres located in Bengaluru, Belagavi, Vijayapura, and Mangaluru districts.

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is conducted for admission to a range of professional courses, including engineering, agriculture, veterinary sciences, pharmacy and BSc (Nursing) programs offered by colleges across the state.

Along with announcing the KCET 2026 schedule, KEA has also released the examination dates for several other entrance tests. As per the official calendar, the Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) will be held on 23 May, while the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) is scheduled on 14 and 23 May. Examinations for MSc Nursing, Master of Physiotherapy (MPT), and MSc Allied Health Sciences (AHS) will take place on 18 July. The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) is slated for 11 October, and the MPharm and PharmD entrance examinations will be conducted on 21 November.
