NIOS Cancelled Bihar Exams: Revised Time Table for New Exam Dates 2025 Soon

NIOS Exam 2025 Postponed

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has announced that several Class 10 and Class 12 public examinations, originally scheduled for 6 November 2025, have been postponed due to the logistical and administrative challenges arising from the Bihar Assembly Elections. As per the notification, the NIOS public exams scheduled for 6, 10 and 11 November 2025 will be rescheduled specifically in the State of Bihar.

The affected Class 12 subjects include Physics, History, Environmental Science and Library & Information Science, while for Class 10, the Painting paper has been deferred. NIOS has clarified that this change applies only to exam centres in Bihar, and all exams at centres outside Bihar and overseas will continue as per the original schedule. Students are advised to keep checking the official NIOS website for the revised exam dates, which will be announced soon.

New Exam Date Announcement Process

NIOS has stated that the revised exam dates for the postponed Class 10 and 12 papers will be announced only through official channels to avoid any confusion among students. Once finalised, the new schedule will be uploaded on the official NIOS website @nios.ac.in and shared through the Student Portal, Regional Centre websites and official NIOS social media handles.

Students will also receive updates through their registered email ID and mobile number, if notifications are enabled. NIOS has advised all learners to check these platforms regularly and not rely on unofficial sources.

In some cases, students may be required to download an updated date sheet or admit card, so staying alert to announcements is important. This process ensures that every student receives accurate and timely information about the revised examination dates.

Instructions for Students

Students are advised to check the official website regularly for any updates related to the exam schedule, admit card or important announcements. They should read all exam guidelines carefully and follow the instructions mentioned on the admit card. It is important to reach the exam centre at least 30-45 minutes before the reporting time to avoid any last-minute rush.

Students must carry their admit card, a valid ID proof and any other documents required by the exam authority. Electronic gadgets, calculators, smartwatches or any study material are usually not allowed inside the exam hall, so students should avoid carrying them.

They must follow the rules given by the invigilator and maintain discipline throughout the examination. After the exam, students should also keep checking the official portal for answer keys, results, and further admission or counselling updates.
