The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu (DGE) has released the admit cards for the Tamil Nadu SSLC (Class 10) Board Exams 2026. Students who are going to appear for the exams can now collect their hall tickets from their respective schools.
This year, more than 9 lakh students will take part in the Class 10 board examinations across the state. The exams are scheduled to begin on 11th March 2026. School heads have been given access to download the admit cards from the official website @dge.tnschools.gov.in/hall-ticket using the student’s application number and date of birth.
Students must note that they cannot download the hall ticket directly on their own. They need to collect the printed admit card from their school. The hall ticket will carry important details such as the student’s name, roll number, exam centre, subject details, and exam dates. It will also include the signature of the school head or principal, making it a valid document for entry into the examination hall.
How to Download Tamil Nadu SSLC Hall Ticket 2026
School authorities can follow these steps to download the admit card:
Step 1: Visit the official website @dge.tn.gov.in
Step 2: Click on the hall ticket link available on the homepage.
Step 3: Select the Tamil Nadu SSLC (Class 10) Admit Card 2026 link.
Step 4: Enter the student’s application number and date of birth.
Step 5: The hall ticket will appear on the screen.
Step 6: Download and print the admit card for distribution to students.
Students are advised to carefully check all the details mentioned on the hall ticket. If there is any mistake in personal information, subject details, or exam centre information, they must immediately inform their school authorities to get it corrected before the exams begin.
Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary (Class 12) examinations for the academic year 2025-26 have already started. The Class 12 board exams began on 2nd March 2026. Around 8,27,475 students are appearing for the Higher Secondary examinations this year. The exams are being conducted at 3,412 centres across Tamil Nadu and will continue for 24 days, concluding on 26th March 2026.
The release of the Class 10 admit cards marks an important step in the examination process. With just days left for the exams to begin, students are advised to focus on their final revisions and ensure they keep their hall tickets safe. Entry to the examination hall will not be allowed without the admit card.
