The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board is set to conduct the PET and PST examinations for the UP Police Sub-Inspector (Confidential) and ASI (Clerk/Accountant) Recruitment 2025. This recruitment drive is being held for a total of 921 posts and the physical tests are scheduled to take place on 5 January 2026. The authority has officially released the UP Police SI ASI Admit Card 2025 on 30 December 2025 through its official website.

Candidates who have successfully completed the application process and are preparing for the examination can now download their hall ticket and exam city intimation slip. To access the UP Police SI ASI Admit Card 2025 and Exam City Slip 2025, candidates must use their application number and date of birth. The admit card and city slip are available on the official website and a direct download link has also been provided for the convenience of applicants.

Eligibility for UP Police PET/ PST 

Candidates appearing for the UP Police SI and ASI PET/PST 2025 must meet the eligibility conditions set by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and fall within the age limit of 21 to 28 years, with relaxation provided to reserved category candidates as per rules. Only those who have qualified the written examination are called for the physical tests.

The PET and PST assess a candidate’s physical fitness and standards required for police service. The PST includes checks for height, chest measurement for male candidates and weight, while the PET involves a running test to measure stamina. Candidates must also be medically fit. Those who clear both rounds will move ahead in the UP Police SI and ASI Recruitment 2025 process.

UP Police PET/ PST: Exam Pattern

The UP Police SI and ASI Recruitment 2025 written examination follows a clear and objective exam pattern set by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. The exam is conducted in an online mode and consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The question paper covers subjects such as General Hindi, Law and Constitution, General Knowledge and Mental Ability. Each section test a candidate’s basic knowledge, reasoning skills and understanding of law-related topics relevant to police service.

The examination carries a fixed number of questions, with each correct answer awarded marks as per the official scheme, while negative marking is applied for incorrect responses. Candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks to move to the next stage of the selection process. Those who qualify the written exam are called for the PET and PST rounds, which are qualifying in nature.

Admit Card Instruction 

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has issued important instructions for candidates appearing in the UP Police SI and ASI Written Examination 2025. Candidates must carry a printed copy of their UP Police SI/ASI Admit Card 2025 along with a valid photo ID, such as Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Passport or Driving License, to the exam center. It is advised to reach the exam venue well in advance, typically at least 60 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card, to complete the necessary entry formalities. 

Candidates should follow all rules and guidelines issued by the authorities, including wearing appropriate attire, maintaining discipline and avoiding carrying any prohibited items such as electronic gadgets, mobile phones, calculators or bags. Adherence to these instructions is mandatory and failure to comply may result in denial of entry or disqualification from the examination.
