UPSC CSE 2025 Final Result

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to declare the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 in the coming days. Once released, candidates who appeared for the personality test will be able to check their results on the official website: upsc.gov.in. The commission will publish a final merit list featuring the names of candidates recommended for appointment to various civil services.

The selected candidates will be allocated to prestigious services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Trade Service (ITS), along with other Group A and Group B central services.

The personality test phase of the examination was conducted at the UPSC headquarters, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi, beginning in January 2026. The interview round carried a total of 275 marks and did not have any minimum qualifying criteria. Aspirants are advised to regularly visit the official UPSC website for updates regarding the result, category-wise cut-off marks and the list of toppers.

UPSC CSE 2025 Final Result: Steps to Check Online

Candidates awaiting the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 final result will be able to access their scores through the official website of the Union Public Service Commission. Once the result link is activated, aspirants can follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website. 

Step 2: Click on the link titled “Civil Services Examination 2025 Final Result” available on the homepage.

Step 3: The result will be displayed in PDF format containing the roll numbers and names of recommended candidates.

Step 4: Use the search function (Ctrl + F) to locate your roll number in the list.

Step 5: Download and save the PDF file for future reference.

UPSC CSE 2025: Vacancies Notified

For the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has notified a total of 979 vacancies across various services. This marks a decrease compared to the previous two years, when 1105 posts were announced in both 2023 and 2024. Earlier, the commission had notified 1011 vacancies in 2022 and 712 in 2021.

Out of the 979 vacancies for 2025, 38 posts have been reserved for candidates belonging to the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category. The break-up of these reserved seats includes 12 vacancies for candidates with blindness and low vision, seven for deaf and hard of hearing, and 10 for candidates with locomotor disabilities, which cover conditions such as cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy. Additionally, nine vacancies have been earmarked for individuals with multiple disabilities.

UPSC CSE 2024 Result

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 final results on 22 April, with Shakti Dubey emerging as the topper. In a media interaction, she shared insights into her preparation journey.

Women candidates continued to perform strongly in the examination. In 2024, three women featured among the top five rank holders Shakti Dubey (Rank 1), Harshita Goyal (Rank 2) and Shah Margi Chirag (Rank 4). Dongre Archit Parag secured Rank 3, while Akash Garg stood at Rank 5. Overall, of the 1009 candidates recommended for appointment, 725 were men and 284 were women.

The selection process comprises three stages: Preliminary, Main, and the Personality Test with the final merit list prepared based on performance in the Main examination and Interview.
